The winner takes all on Friday as Pyramids of Egypt welcomes Orlando Pirates of South Africa to Cairo.

Defending champions Al Ahly will host Mamelodi Sundowns at the Cairo International Stadium, with 75,000 spectators expected.

The first leg ended in a goalless draw, with Mamelodi Sundowns failing to have a single shot on target even though they dominated possession right from the start to the end.

Whoever wins in the 90 minutes will progress because of the first-leg results. The away side will be confident to score a goal which will put them in a good position to progress because of the away goal rule.

This fixture has become a modern-day rivalry after both teams have been considered to play the best football on the continent.

Al Ahly will rely on the thousands of their fans to finish the Masandawana but expect the South Africans to fight.

In the other game in Cairo, Pyramids will welcome Orlando Pirates from Johannesburg.

The Bucs, in this season’s competition, have been the best team after winning three times in North Africa. The real job is on Friday night as another victory will take them to the finals.

Pyramids were the more dangerous of the two sides in the first leg and were able to score twice by VAR ruled the goals out for offside.

The Croatian head coach, Krunoslav Jurcic, is extremely optimistic his side will beat Orlando Pirates.

Congolese striker Fiston Mayele and Egyptian playmaker Ibrahim Adel are the two attackers Pyramids will be looking forward to finishing off the South Africans.

Jose Riveiro’s side cannot be underestimated because of how they have schooled the North Africans in North Africa this season.

Fireworks are expected on Friday evening in Cairo as Egypt welcomes South Africa in the second leg of the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.
