Week 30 of the Ghana Premier League will be headlined by the Super Clash between the two glamorous clubs in Ghana.

Hearts of Oak of Accra will face Asante Kotoko of Kumasi at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday at 3 pm. The fixture could end Asante Kotoko’s title dreams if they fail to gather all the three points at stake.

A win for them will boost their chance in their slim hope of winning the league. Hearts of Oak, on the other side, has a 2 per cent chance of winning the league and will tackle this fixture for pride’s sake.

League leaders Bibiani Gold Stars at Dun’s Park in Bibiani will have the opportunity to return to winning ways when they welcome the relegation-threatened Karela United. The 2-0 defeat at Vision was shocking, and Gold Stars will not request any fixture at this crucial moment than Karela.

Nations FC, who unluckily lost 1-0 to Stephen Amankonah’s penalty in Berekum last Sunday, will welcome the struggling Accra Lions to the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese. Three points is all that Kasim Mingle’s side needs because they are five points behind the leaders. Accra Lions is not favoured by the fixtures in their bid for survival and must fight for something in Abrankese.

Medeama on Friday night entertains Vision FC. The Mauve and Yellow, last Friday, smashed Young Apostles 3-0, with head coach Ibrahim Tanko expecting his men to repeat the Grade A performance.

Bechem United will welcome Legon Cities to Bechem as the home side has been struggling to win games in recent weeks. The Royals are relegation-bound after struggling throughout the season. Legon Cities needs the three points for the relegation battle but must triple their efforts to win in Bechem.

Aduana Stars hosts Berekum Chelsea in the Bono Derby as both teams are very okay with their positions. They will fight for only bragging rights.

Heart of Lions still hopes they can win the title, with Bashir Hayford always reminding his charges that it is not over until it is over. The Kpando-based club hosts defending champions Samartex, with the three points at stake as their target. Samartex has failed to defend their title but has won four and drawn one of their last five games, making them the most in-form team in the league now.

Young Apostles are just two points above the relegation zone and will have to beat Basake Holy Stars at Wenchi Town Park to ease the relegation fears. Holy Syars sits two places above Young Apostles having won 36 points from 29 games on the log. A win for either side will be a huge boost for survival.
