The Deputy High Commissioner of Ghana to the United Kingdom, Hon. Aquinas Tawia Quansah, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Ghana High Commission to collaborate closely with Ghanaian nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals in the UK to enhance professional engagement and facilitate their movement between Ghana and the United Kingdom.

Speaking at a Health Awareness Programme organized by Hot Digital Online in partnership with the Ghanaian Doctors and Dentists Association, under the theme “Your Health, Our Priority: Together We Care,” Hon. Quansah stated that the High Commission remains ready to support healthcare professionals with consular services, including passport acquisition, Ghana Card registration, and other documentation needs.

According to him, making these services more accessible will help healthcare professionals focus on their work and strengthen their connection with Ghana.

Hon. Quansah, who was the Special Guest of Honour at the event, commended the organizers for providing essential health services to Ghanaians living in the UK. He also encouraged Ghanaian healthcare professionals abroad to support their colleagues back home by collaborating with the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) and sharing best practices that can improve healthcare delivery in Ghana.

“There are many patients who recover not only through medication but also through the smile, compassion, and care shown by doctors and nurses. This is one of the best ways to promote healing,” he stated.

The Deputy High Commissioner acknowledged the dedication and hard work of many nurses and healthcare professionals in Ghana but emphasized that there is always room for improvement in service delivery and patient care.

He concluded by congratulating the Ghanaian Doctors and Dentists Association and all healthcare professionals in the United Kingdom for their outstanding contributions and commitment to serving their communities.
