The Ghana Police Service has arrested two men who were spotted in a video, unbelievably torturing a boy for stealing 200 cedis. The suspects, 58-year-old Issah Moro and Suleman Abdul Rashid, 27, who assaulted the boy, were arrested.

“A 12-year-old boy has been tortured for stealing GHC200 at New Ankasa Community near Elubo in the Western Region.

In a viral video, the young boy is seen stripped naked, tied to a rope and hanged on the roof of a building while being subjected to severe beatings and painting of her wounds with pepper”, Ghana Crime TV GH announced.

Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Constituency, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, posted the video on his Facebook account, urging Ghanaians to help find the men who were torturing the young boy.

“These men were captured in a viral video physically abusing a young boy. Preliminary information suggests that the incident took place somewhere in the Western Region. A reward of GHS 5,000 will be offered to anyone who can provide credible information leading to the arrest of the suspects”, A Plus wrote.
