A 27-year-old taxi driver, Patrick Tetteh, based at Prampram in the Greater Accra Region, has been murdered by passengers who hired him.
Patrick had picked up three Nigerian nationals who hired him for a long-distance trip to Aflao in the Volta Region.
However, upon reaching Dzodze, the passengers killed the young driver and attempted to flee with his car.
Police officers at a barrier arrested one of the suspects who was driving the vehicle when he couldn’t provide the car’s documents.
This raised the officers’ suspicions and prompted them to interrogate the suspects further. The suspects then confessed to committing the crime and led the police to where they dumped Patrick’s body. Two of the suspects are on the run.
