Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones has predicted that Ghanaian forward Fatawu Issahaku will soon return to the EPL before the end of the ongoing transfer window.

Issahaku’s impressive 30-yard goal was the key to Leicester’s 1-0 win, leading Jones to praise the winger as someone bound for greatness.

“He’ll be in the Premier League in just a week. That goal was the one thing that made the difference. It took an incredible shot to win the game for them,” said the Charlton manager after the match.

At just 21 years old, Issahaku played an important role in Leicester’s 2023/24 season, showcasing exciting performances that helped the Foxes get promoted back to the Premier League.

Unfortunately, his first season in the top tier was disrupted by a long-term injury, cutting short what many thought could have been an amazing year at this level.

With him missing for much of the season, Leicester faced challenges and eventually fell back down to the Championship. Now aiming for another shot at promotion, they might face a new challenge—keeping their talented winger.

With Jones openly supporting Issahaku as a player fit for the Premier League, rumours are growing that teams from England’s top division could make a move before the transfer window closes.

If a deal happens, it would mean a quick return to Premier League action for the young Ghanaian, whose skills continue to earn him much admiration.

Leicester City recorded their second win of the season with a narrow 1-0 win at the Valley in London, where the youngster dazzled.
