It has finally gone through as Ghana’s young winger Fatawu Issahaku has been confirmed to have joined newly promoted English Premier League side Leicester City.

The 20-year-old spent the entire 2023-24 season on loan at Leicester City from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon. It was inserted in his contract that Leicester City will sign him if Issahaku impresses.

The youngster played a very crucial role in Leicester City’s return to the top tier of English football. Fatawu Issahaku made 40 appearances in the Championship for Leicester City scoring 6 goals and providing 13 assists.

The former Steadfast and Dreams FC winger expressed his delight in the permanent switch, “I feel amazing,” Issahaku said. “It’s good to be back and I’m just focused again for next season. The Premier League is a new challenge and I’m motivated to succeed alongside the team. I can’t wait to see my teammates again; they’re like family now.”
