Bournemouth won 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The win was the Cherries’ second of the season, which helped them move to 4th position in the league table.
Semenyo was the main man in the victory after assisting the 22-year-old Alex Scott to put Bournemouth in front in the 18th minute.
Japanese winger Kaoru Mitoma levelled the score with just three minutes into the second half after heading Minteh’s wonderful cross.
Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo, after the game, revealed that they were not at their best even though they won.
“We were not at our best, and like I said, it was pretty ugly! The manager said it might go this way – it did, and we found a way to win. It’s a really good side to show in our game”, Antoine said.
Andoni Iraola’s side were not at their full best, but managed to protect their lead and snatched all three points
