It was just a couple of weeks ago that Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk defeated British boxer Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia at the Kingdom Arena to be crowned as the first undisputed heavyweight champion since 1999.
The WBA (Super), WBC, IBF,
WBO, IBO and the Ring titles are now in Usyk’s possession after he won via a split decision.
It has been confirmed on Tuesday by Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of the General Entertainment Authority through X the exact date for the rematch.
“The rematch between the Undisputed Champion Oleksandr Usyk and the Champion Tyson Fury is now scheduled on the 21 of December 2024 during Riyadh Season…The world will watch another historical fight again…Our commitment to boxing fans continues…We hope you enjoy it..”.
The full details of the bout from both camps and promoters are expected to be revealed by the end of June.
