50 Cent and Ja Rule have reignited their decades-long feud in 2025, trading fresh jabs online and stirring up old tensions over ticket sales, music relevance, and personal insults.
The latest flare-up began when Ja Rule mocked 50 Cent’s European “Final Lap” tour, poking fun at a rumoured two-for-one ticket promotion for his London show.
Ja took to X (formerly Twitter) to post, “Ain’t nobody coming to see you Otis,” referencing a famous line from The Temptations movie to suggest low demand for 50’s concert. The jab quickly went viral, prompting fans of both artists to weigh in on the long-standing rivalry.
50 Cent didn’t stay silent for long. He responded with a sarcastic Instagram post, sharing Ja’s tweet and adding, “This fool has been ready to go what he calls nuclear for 22 years.”
The comment referenced Ja Rule’s recent interview on The Breakfast Club, where he expressed anger over 50’s past disrespect toward the late Irv Gotti, his close friend and former Murder Inc. label boss.
Although Ja said he was talked out of retaliating by Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff, the tension clearly lingered.
Earlier in the year, Ja Rule had already thrown shade at 50 Cent by commenting on his rumoured Las Vegas residency, calling it “Not the Worst.”
He also joked about needing a rematch after a fan claimed Ja’s music was better than 50’s, saying, “I was robbed by the judges.” These playful but pointed remarks kept the feud simmering, with fans speculating whether a diss track or public confrontation might be next.
Despite the animosity, both artists continue to enjoy loyal fan bases and successful ventures outside of music.
50 Cent remains active in television production, while Ja Rule has focused on business and live performances.
Still, their feud—one of hip-hop’s most infamous—shows no signs of fading. As long as social media provides a platform, it seems these two will keep trading blows, keeping fans entertained and the rivalry alive.
The long-standing feud traces back to a 1999 incident in which an associate of 50 Cent allegedly robbed Ja Rule at gunpoint, reportedly taking his chain.
What began as a street-level altercation quickly spiralled into one of hip-hop’s most infamous rivalries, marked by diss tracks, public insults, and even physical confrontations.
The tension between the two artists became a defining narrative in early 2000s rap culture.
Diss tracks like ‘Back Down’, ‘I Smell Py’ and ‘Hail Mary’ from 50 Cent were directed at Ja Rule, while songs like ‘Who Shot Ya’ and ‘Loose Change’ from Ja Rule dissed 50 Cent.
