Per ace sports journalist Ibrahim Sannie Daara, German top-flight side Bochum have opened talks to sign Ghana keeper Lawrence Ati Zigi from Swiss club St Gallen.

Both teams have initially met to start the process involved in transferring the Ghanaian goalkeeper from Switzerland to Germany.

Lawrence Ati-Zigi, 27, joined St Gallen from Sochaux in the 2019-2020 season. The Ghanaian has been the undisputed number one for the last 5 seasons for the Swiss club.

He made a whopping 41 appearances for St Gallen in the Swiss Super League in the just ended season helping them secure a slot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.

Bochum head coach Zeidler previously worked with Ati-Zigi Lawrence at Liefering in Austria, Sochaux in France and St Gallen.
