Anthony Asare, 41, has gone into hiding after being paid GHC 35,000 to create a kitchen cabinet for a residence of someone based in America.

Asare owns Home Furniture GH, a carpentry shop that has deceived customers both in Ghana and abroad who chose to do business with them.

In October 2025, after receiving GHc35,000 from Vivian in the United States, Anthony Asare continued to delay the production of the cabinet and eventually disappeared.

When Crime Check reached out to him to verify the victim’s claims, Asare replied in Twi, stating, “If I have used the money, I have used it.” The police cannot take any action against me, even if I am arrested.

It has been reported that Asare approaches people living overseas and disappears after receiving payments for work.

The young man is included in the Ghana Police Service’s list of those wanted for investigation.
