Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus will miss the rest of the season.
Kudus, 25, has missed Tottenham’s last 17 games, making life so difficult for the club. Tottenham Hotspur is locked in a relegation battle, and missing their former West Ham playmaker is a big blow for De Zerbi’s side.
The Ghanaian was replaced by Randal Kolo Muani in the 19th minute when they hosted Sunderland at the Tottenham Stadium on 4th January in week 20 of the Premier League.
The playmaker sustained a serious quad tendon injury and was due to join the team after recovering in early April, but suffered a major setback, which has forced him to have surgery.
Ahead of De Zerbi’s debut home game against his former side Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon, the Italian manager officially confirmed Kudus’ absence.
”Kudus, for this season, has gone. I am sorry for him… he is a good guy. Should be very important for us, but we lose time if we speak about the past,” De Zerbi said.
The club is also missing playmakers Kulusevski, Bissouma and Maddison, making Mo Kudus’ absence an unfortunate one.
It remains unclear whether he will be ready for Ghana for the 2026 FIFA World Cup or not.
