Leicester City returned immediately to the English Premier League after fantastically winning the English Championship.

Led by the Italian tactician, Enzo Maresca, Leicester City played eye-catching football throughout the entire season culminating in lifting the Championship title.

Their manager Maresca left after the season to continue his coaching career with Chelsea after the Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by the Blues.

The vacant head coach role of Leicester City has been filled with the club announcing Steve Cooper as the new manager.

Steve Cooper has Premier League experience after qualifying Nottingham Forest to the top tier of English Football a couple of seasons ago. He was able to avoid relegation with Forest but was sacked the following season after failing to convince Nottingham Forest’s hierarchy.

Cooper, 44, will work with Ghanaian youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku if his move from Sporting Lisbon to the Foxes materialises.

The English manager has signed 3 years for Leicester City and he is tasked with remaining in the league for another season as the newly promoted sides have been struggling to survive.
