Actress and entrepreneur Fella Makafui has stirred reactions on social media after a video captured her happily dancing during a performance by her ex-husband Medikal at the 2027 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
The viral moment occurred during the 27th edition of the TGMA held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra on Saturday, May 9, 2026. The glamorous awards ceremony attracted some of Ghana’s biggest celebrities, musicians and entertainment personalities.
Fella Makafui, who shares a daughter with Medikal, was seen enthusiastically jamming to the rapper’s hit songs “Omo Ada” and “Shoulder” as he thrilled patrons with an energetic performance on stage.
Her reaction quickly became a major talking point online, with many social media users praising her maturity and positive attitude despite her past relationship with the rapper.
In videos circulating online, the actress appeared cheerful and relaxed while dancing alongside socialite Hajia4Reall, entertainment personality Kojo Soboh and other guests at the event.
Fella also turned heads on the red carpet with her elegant fashion choice for the night.
She arrived wearing a strapless sweetheart neckline gown adorned with crystals and reflective gold disc embellishments, drawing admiration from fans and fashion enthusiasts at the event.
Before the main awards ceremony began, Fella Makafui was asked about her expectations for the highly competitive Artiste of the Year category, where Medikal was among the nominees. However, she declined to publicly endorse any artiste, simply stating that the best person should win.
Medikal had entered the awards night as one of the favourites for the coveted Artiste of the Year award following a successful year in music.
However, the top honour eventually went to Black Sherif, who emerged as the biggest winner of the night.
Despite losing the ultimate award, Medikal still enjoyed a strong showing at the TGMA after winning four awards on the night, including Most Popular Song of the Year and Best Hiplife Song for “Shoulder,” his collaboration with Shatta Wale and Beeztrap KOTM.
Another video that surfaced after the ceremony showed Medikal leaving the venue in high spirits with members of his team despite missing out on the Artiste of the Year title.
The rapper appeared calm and appreciative of the support he received throughout the night.
The interaction between Fella Makafui and Medikal at the TGMA has since generated widespread discussion online, with many fans commending the actress for displaying sportsmanship and maturity during one of the biggest entertainment events in Ghana.
