Amid a challenging period for Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, his latest film, “A Country Called Ghana,” has received a prestigious nomination for the 2024 Nollywood Film Festival in Germany.

This recognition comes at a time when Lilwin is dealing with serious issues in Ghana, following a tragic accident in Kumasi that resulted in the death of a young boy just before the movie’s premiere in Kumasi.

Directed by Frank Fiifi Gharbin and executively produced by Lilwin, this Ghana-Nigeria collaboration brings together top-tier talent from both nations.

The film features famous actors and actresses such as Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, Victor Osuagwu (known as Awilo Sharp Sharp), Paa George, and Sweet Mimi.

“A Country Called Ghana” aspires to secure a spot on Netflix and achieve global recognition. Its nomination and upcoming screening at the Nollywood Film Festival mark a significant milestone in its journey.
