A 61-year-old fetish priest and palm wine tapper, identified as Mr Dosey, has been discovered unconscious with severe injuries after going missing for three days at Assin Kushia in the Assin North District of the Central Region.
He reportedly left home on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, to deliver herbal medicine to a client but never returned, sparking worry among relatives and residents.
Following an intensive search, Mr Dosey was eventually found lying in a nearby bush with multiple wounds, including injuries to his neck, a fractured arm, and other bodily harm suspected to have been caused by unknown attackers.
His condition raised alarm in the community, which had been anxiously awaiting news of his whereabouts.
He was rushed to a local clinic in Assin Kushia for emergency care but, due to the seriousness of his injuries, was later referred to the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu for advanced treatment.
Authorities are yet to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack, while residents remain unsettled by the incident.
