Its average buying rate fell by two pesewas to GHS11.81, while the average selling rate remained unchanged at GHS12.15 compared with Thursday.
At forex bureaus, customers can buy dollars for GHS11.90, while the rate for selling dollars is GHS12.25.
The figures are provided by Cedirates.com, a Ghanaian platform that monitors daily currency and fuel rates.
On the Bank of Ghana interbank market, the Cedi is quoted at GHS11.71 to the US dollar for buying and GHS11.72 for selling.
Pound and euro rates
The British pound is trading at an average rate of GHS15.41 for buying and GHS16.33 for selling at forex bureaus.
The Bank of Ghana interbank rate for the pound is GHS15.46.
The Euro is available at GHS13.18 for buying and GHS14.01 for selling through forex bureaus. Its interbank buying rate is GHS13.16.
Remittance and subscription rates
For transfers from the US or UK to Ghana, LemFi and Taptap Send are both offering a dollar rate of GHS11.72.
Both services are quoting GHS15.58 for British pound remittances from the US or UK.
For Euro transfers to Ghana, Taptap Send and LemFi are each offering GHS13.32.
Payments for digital subscriptions including Netflix, Spotify and Apple Music are being processed at exchange rates of GHS12.60 through Visa and GHS12.56 through Mastercard.
