Newly elected NPP 1st Vice Chairman Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo “Bamba”, says his political ambition is centred on representing the hopes
Newly elected NPP 1st Vice Chairman Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo “Bamba”, says his political ambition is centred on representing the hopes and aspirations of Ghana’s youth rather than achieving personal success.
In a social media post on October 4, 2026, Kojo Bamba described himself as a voice for young people and said he wanted to help create opportunities for the next generation.
“I do not see myself as better than anyone else. I see myself as a voice for the youth, a representative of their hopes, dreams and aspirations,” he said.
“My ambition goes beyond personal success; it is about creating opportunities and ensuring that the next generation has a fair chance to rise.”
His comments followed his election as 1st Vice Chairman during the NPP’s recent internal elections, where he came first in a field of 13 candidates.
Kojo Bamba also warned that the outcome of the 2028 general elections could have a significant impact on the prospects of young people if the NPP does not regain power.
“So many destinies risk remaining in the shadows if we fail to restore power in 2028. Our youth deserve opportunities, our people deserve hope, and our future deserves a renewed commitment to progress,” he said.
The contest included Dr Mustapha Abdul Hameed, Nana Akomea, Samuel Pyne, George Kwabena Abankwah Yeboah, Richard Ahiagba, Alhaji Masawudu Osman, Richard Oti Aboagye, Abena Pokua Boaitey Amoah, Yaa Amponsah Frimpong, Henry Nana Boakye, Horma Miez and Bright Esselfie Kumi.
Voting concluded in the early hours of Sunday, after which the Electoral Commission took to the stage to announce the results.
