Spain and England are set to battle for the ultimate on Sunday night in Berlin after both teams brushed aside opponents on their way to the finals.

Spain has immense experience over England at this level after lifting three European Championships (1964, 2008 and 2012) levelling with Germany as the teams with the most titles in the competition.

A victory for La Roja will make them the undisputed kings in the European Championship as they will leapfrog Germany to be the team with most titles.

England on the other hand are in their second consecutive finals after losing at Wembley in the finals of Euro 2020 on penalties against Italy. The defeat brought a whole lot of controversies with Saka, Sancho and Rashford all abused racially by unknown fans after they missed thier penalties during the decisive shootouts.

Spain in Euro 2024 under the tutelage of Luis De la Fuente has beaten every opponent that has crossed their path properly with youngsters Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal dazzling in an incredible fashion.

Barcelona’s teenager, Yamine is 17 years old today and will love to continue his birthday celebrations with the European Championship.

Manchester City’s imperial midfielder Rodri is the main man for Spain as his Grade A performances have not gone unnoticed.

Le Normand and Dani Carvajal who both missed Spain’s 2-1 win over France in the semi-finals are set to return which is a very god news for La Roja.

England on the other side have everyone fit for the finals. Luke Shaw is likely to start on England’s left hand side where they have had issues playing Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier.

Gareth Southgate is expected to play his 3 back system in which the Three Lions looked comfortable dealing with the Netherlands in the semi-finals. Harry Kane is set to start upfront with Foden and Bellingham serving as his main playmakers.

Youngster Mainoo will partner “Rice Baby” in front of the back three of Stones, Guehi and Walker with Saka and Shaw operating from the right and left wing backs respectively.

Spain are a bit ahead of England in terms of performances in the European Championship but no one can write of Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions because at this stage, it could be anybody’s game.
