The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation has reached an agreement with Ghana Football Association to broadcast “live” the Ghana Premier League.

The contract is for the next 5 seasons with GTV Sports+ set to pay $2m.

Per Testa of AP Sports, the agent who led the negotiations is set to secure 30% of the deal which means he will take home a whooping $600k.

The 18 clubs who are due to take part in the 2024-25 season will financially struggle.

StarTimes who have covered the last 5 seasons of the Ghana Premier League decided to end their marriage with the GFA. The braodcasters said they are not getting what they expected.

They paid $5m for the 5 years and GBC are paying $2m for 5 years.
