Week 7 of the CONMEBOL 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers was played on Thursday and Friday with world champions, Argentina, continuing their South American dominace with a 3-0 win of Chile. Le Albeceleste sits on top of the marathon table with 18 points while Chile is 9th having won just 5 points.

Luis Diaz’s late strike in the second half helped Colombia to secure a point against Peru after Alex Callens had put the Peruvians ahead in the first half.

Luis Suarez’s swansong saw Uruguay drew goalless against Paraguay in Montevideo at the Estadio Centenario. Suarez, former Liverpool and Barcelona striker will play his last game for Uruguay on Tuesday in Venezuela and finally retires from the national team. Uruguay sits 2nd trailing first place Argentina by 4 points while Paraguay are 7th on the table.
