Black Stars have remained unconvincng for two good years and nothing seems to stopping them.

Comoros, Madagascar, Central African Republic, Cape Verde and Mozambique have all battled Ghana recently. Some of them looked pretty good than Ghana.

Minnows Comoros and Cape Verde have beaten Ghana recently which shows that the Black Stars have lost their power and they don’t pose a threat to any side anymore.

Next team to show that Ghana is now ordinary is Niger. The struggling West African side played in Berkane against Ghana and secured a point. It ended 1-1 much to the surprise of anyone.

Ghana with all the super stars; Partey, Kudus, Inaki, Issahaku, Lamptey and Salisu could only draw 1-1 against the struggling Niger.

Rennes defender Alidu Seidu gave the Black Stars the lead in the 44th minute to ease the tension and pressure on Ghanaians.

Niger showed great determination compared to Ghana as they had 7 goal attempts with 3 on goal in the second half. Ghana enjoyed much possession but lacked the ability to create chances as the Black Stars had just 3 shots on goal with 1 attempt.

Niger struck in the 81st minute through Oumar Sako to shock Ghana.

In the other game of the group, Angola triumphed 2-1 over Sudan to move clear of the table. The Palancas Negras has won 6 points on top of the table. Ghana in second having won 3 points. Ghana is in 3rd with 1 point. Niger is bottom of the table albeit on the same points and goal difference as Ghana.

The next round will see Ghana play Sudan home and away as leaders Angola lock horns with bottom placed Niger home and away.
