North African sides Al Ahly, Esperance, Pyramids, MC Alger and Raja Casablanca all qualified to the Money Zone.

Al Ahly won 3-0 against Gor Mahia, Esperance pulverised Dekedda 8-0 with Belaili scoring hattrick.

Ghanaian international Yussif Dauda Seidu opened the scoring for APR in Cairo against Pyramids. The Egyptians came from behind and won 3-1 with Chibi, Mayele and Hafez each scoring for Pyramids.

MC Alger booked a place in the Money Zone after winning 2-0 against Monastir in an intense game in Algeria.

Raja Casablanca won 2-0 against Ghanaian champions Samartex to record a 4-2 aggregate win. Zila and Zerhouni scored in each half to dump the Ghanaians out.
