Young Apostles president Samuel Anim Addo has expressed disappointment over his team’s draw against Asante Kotoko, stating that the Porcupine Warriors were fortunate to escape with a point in their Ghana Premier League clash.

The match, held at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, ended 1-1 after a hard-fought battle between the two sides.

The first half concluded without goals as both teams struggled to convert scoring opportunities.

Young Apostles took the lead in the 51st minute through Daniel Lomotey, demonstrating their resilience despite Kotoko’s possession dominance.

However, Emmanuel Antwi equalized for Asante Kotoko in the 79th minute with a well-executed shot, salvaging a draw for the record champions.

In a post-match interview with Kessben FM, Anim Addo remarked, “Asante Kotoko were lucky to avoid defeat and must be thankful to their God.”

His comments reflect the frustration of his team, who remain winless after two draws and one loss in their opening three games.

Asante Kotoko will look to build on their performance in their next match against Berekum Chelsea, while Young Apostles will aim for their first league victory against Aduana Stars, who recently lost to Nations FC.
