Ghanaians only got notifications on their phones that it is 15 minutes before kick off between Ghana’s U20 and Germany’s U20 on Tuesday afternoon.

Germany thrashed Ghana 5-0 in the friendly. Ghana had earlier lost 2-1 against Switzerland.

It was Ghana’s final preparations for the WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship to be played in Togo, scheduled to be played in October.

‘’I recently learned from the Sports Ministry that they are unaware of the U20 team’s involvement in the friendly games in Switzerland,” chairman of Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjoe Fianoo revelaed.

Ghana’s way of calling players for the respective national teams has come under huge criticsm as players from certain teams are always called to the national teams at the expense of the deserving ones.

It is very shocking to see a whole national team playing outside the country without the consent of the Sports Ministry
