A man believed to be in his 20s, Bushira Shaibu has been killed near Tuntumba, a farming community in the Bole District of the Savannah region.
Shaibu was reportedly shot multiple times by unknown assailants but escaped unhurt.
He was then attacked with a machete and butchered by the unknown men whose reason for the attack remains unclear.
A few hours after Shaibu’s death, a Fulani chief was also attacked by unknown men on a motorbike in his residence in Sawla.
The victim, Ali Baari sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to the Sawla District Government Hospital.
Due to the severity of the injuries, Ali was referred to Tamale Teaching hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, one person has been arrested in connection with the attack.
