It has been confirmed that Ghana’s under pressure head coach, Otto Addo, will name his preferred 25-man squad on Friday for matchday 5 and 6 of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.

The Black Stars will face Niger in Accra at the Accra Sports Stadium on MD5 before vising Angola in Luanda on MD6.

English Premier League contingents of Arsenal’s Thomas Partey– who last missed the October international break, Leicester City’s duo of Jordan Ayew and Fatawu Issahaku, in-form Bournemouth’s forward Antoine Semenyo and West Ham United’s Mo Kudus are expected to be included.

Skipper Andre Ayew has signed a season long deal with French side Le Havre and it remains unknown whether he will return to the squad or not.

At least five local players are expected to be included in the team. Isaac Afful of Samartex and Kotoko’s goalkeeper Fred Asare are to enjoy their slots in the team.

Ghana sits 3rd on the log trailing second-placed Sudan by 5 points. Kwesi Appiah’s Falcons of Jediane need just a point to book a place in Morocco 2025.
