Kurt Okraku delivered his promise by handing 9 buses to clubs on Wednesday morning. The Ghana Football Association boss promised the Access Bank Divison One clubs that winners of the respective zones would be given buses alongside four teams from women’s football.
The clubs constantly reminded and demanded Kurt honour his promise.
On Wednesday morning, the promise was delivered a day after the Black Stars failed to qualify for the AFCON for the first time in 20 years.
Many Ghanaians believe it is the biggest disrespect to have ever happened in Ghanaian football history because the timing was extremely wrong.
Ghana Football Association leaders believe they are under no law and hence can manage the association how it suits their interest.
The bus saga has divided many opinions, with many calling for the immediate sacking of Kurt Okraku.
A mini tour was made in one of the buses by one of the club’s representatives, and it was nasty.
The buses look very old and used as the interior demonstrates. The seats and steer are torn and it looks like they have been used for 10 good years.
List of the beneficiary clubs:
Basake Holy Stars, Young Apostles, Vision FC, New Edubiase, Okwahu United, Techiman Heroes FC, Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs, Hohoe United and Victory Club Warriors.
