Management Committee of the Black Stars dissolved by the Ghana Football Association

The blame game and the scapegoating got underway to a brilliant start. As expected, some groups of people were going to be sacrificed at the expense of the biggest problem bedevilling Ghanaian football.

Around midday on Thursday, Facebook was awash with the news that the Management Committee of the Black Stars had been dissolved by the Ghana Football Association.

A statement from the Ghana Football Association said, “Immediate dissolution of the Management Committee of the senior national football team, the Black Stars. In doing so, we sincerely thank the members of the Committee for their service to Ghana Football over the years”.

What’s the responsibility of the Management Committee of the Black Stars?

The Management Committee has the ultimate responsibility of directing the activities of the team, ensuring it is well run and delivering the outcomes, and monitoring the activities of the Technical team, the Medical team and the Playing body to ensure they are keeping with the founding principles, objectives and values of the team.

Ghana Football Association has been troubled by incessant problems culminating in failing to qualifier for the 2025 AFCON and a massive shake-up must be done.
