Manchester City continued their turmoil after losing 2-0 against the ever-impressive Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday evening to open an 11-point gap against Pep Guardiola’s side who now sits in 5th.

Goals from Coady Gakpo and Mohammed Salah (penalty) ensured another successful weekend for the league leaders, Liverpool.

Manchester City’s slump is unbelievable because it has never happened in Pep’s career as a manager since 2009 to go seven games without recording a single victory.

Liverpool believes Manchester City are their main contender, as Arsenal and Chelsea do not pose a dangerous threat like the defending champions.

When Salah was asked about Manchester City’s chances, the Egyptian forward reminded his mates and the Liverpool fans of what the Citizens can do.

“We know that Manchester City will come back,” Salah revealed.

Manchester City has won the last four EPL titles, and even if you take 15 points lead; you must be extra careful.

Mohammed Salah and Liverpool have fought with Manchester City on so many occasions for the EPL title in recent years but always lose so Salah knows whatever that he is talking about.

Josep Guardiola is under immense pressure to turn things around for his out-of-confidence side.

“Call me delusional but I have the feeling that, from here, we will start to build back to winning games and confidence…” Pep said.

Manchester City must bounce back at all costs so that they will entirely not be out of the race for the title. The Citizens have not won a single game since the unconvincing 1-0 win over struggling Southampton at the Etihad on 26th October.

The club will host Nottingham Forest in round 14 in mid-week before a visit to Crystal Palace and Juventus. These are games Manchester City must pick wins ahead of the Christmas tough schedules.
