The individual who passed away while transporting a passenger was allegedly struck by a commercial ‘trotro’ bus at approximately 6 PM.
Witnesses reported that the vehicle struck the motorcycle rider, causing serious head injuries.
The pillion rider is reported to have been lucky, as he is said to have suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the trotro vehicle is reported to have left the scene quickly after the incident.
The police have taken the body of the deceased to the mortuary for preservation, while the pillion rider has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
The deceased operated his motorcycle taxi business at Old Barrier on the Kasoa road.
