Argentine head coach, Miguel Angel Gamondi has signed to be the next head coach of Moroccan champions, Raja Casablanca.

Raja Casablanca since June 2024 has worked with 5 different coaches making life so unbearable for the club. Joseph Zinnbaeur, Rusmir Cviko, Abdelkarim Jinani, Ricardo Sa Pinto and Hafid Abdessadek who is now the interim have all bossed the club.

Angel Gamondi who made Tanzanian giants Yanga play so well is the next to coach the green side of Casablanca until the end of the current campaign.

The 58-year-old Olavarria-born is a household name on the African continent in terms of coaching after arriving in the year 2000 as an assistant manager at Al-Ahly Tripoli. He has since then been away from the continent twice which was in 2010 and 2014 when he managed UAE sides Ittihad Kalba and Al Urooba for just a year each.

Miguel Angel Gamondi has managed big clubs like Mamelodi Sundowns, USM Alger, Wydad, Belouizdad and many others on the continent showing his vast experience in African football.

Raja Casablanca currently sits 8th in the Botola Pro table having amassed just 23 points from 16 games. In the CAF Champions League, the three-time winners are bottom of Group B having lost two and drawn one of the three games played so far.

Gamondi will be expected to bring back the club to winning ways after a disastrous start to the season.
