Michael Mensah Agyepong on Tuesday in Algeria won a bronze medal for Ghana after defeating his Tunisian opponent 3-1 in the African School Games.

The teenager who attends Opoku Ware Senior High School in Kumasi is one talent who has been groomed well by the Ahinsan Youth Centre Table Tennis Club in Oseikrom.

Agyepong tasted defeat against the Madagascar opponent Rakotondrazaka Rahndy in the semi-final and hence needed a win in the 3rd and 4th match to ensure a medal for Ghana.

The maiden edition of the African School Games has been exciting as the organisers aim to unearth talents from the continent from a very young age.

The Ahinsan Youth Center Table Tennis will be proud of Micheal for the wonderful performance in Algeria.
