Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, is set to construct a sugar refinery in Ghana. The 68-year-old British Nigerian billionaire, who Forbes Magazine estimates to be an unbelievable
US$23.8 billion is set to expand his business empire with the addition of a sugar refinery in Kwame Danso in the Bono East Region of Ghana.

According to multiple reports, the company will process 12,000 tons of sugarcane daily and has a 25,000-hectare plantation.

It is not known the exact amount Dangote is set to invest, but it is believed it will be a mega company that will employ enough people from Ghana.

Dangote is the founder of Dangote Group, which was founded in 1981 and produces cement, sugar, salt, oil, and gas. The company’s headquarters are in Lagos.

Dangote’s multinational industrial conglomerate has an astonishing 30,000 employees.

The details of the sugar refinery to be constructed in Ghana will soon be released to the general public.
