All is set for the Porcupine Warriors to host their home games at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium in the 2024-25 season.

National Sports Authority immediately announced the close down of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the home of Kumasi kotoko, for massive renovation to meet CAF and FIFA’s requirement for Black Stars’ game against Sudan in October’s international break.

Asante Kotoko have considered using DR Kwame Kyei’s Sports Complex in Abrankese for their home games but had change of mind and decided to play their home matches at Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

The authorities in charge of the venue has charged Asante Kotoko 10,000 cedis per every game they will play at the venue.

“Asante Kotoko will be charged Ghc10,000 for the use of Obuasi Len Clay Stadium for every home match.

“There will be no share of gate proceeds. All the gate proceeds will directly go to Kotoko”, according to Kessben Sports.

Asante Kotoko will play their first home game against newly promoted side Young apostles on 22nd September in Obuasi at the Len Clay.

Kotoko was supposed to host Nsoatreman at home on Matchday 2 but the game was postponed due to the Nsoatre-based club’s involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
