Asante Kotoko has released 16 players after a disastrous campaign and there are many big names on the list. One of the biggest names on the list is former club captain and goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim who has seen it all at Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
In a thank you message to the club and the fans, the Black Stars goalkeeper thanked the Fabulous family.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank all the Asante Kotoko family for making me who I am today. From the first day I joined this great club, I feel privileged and proud to represent Kotoko. I’m so grateful for all the support I have received and will be a fabulous fan for the rest of my life,” wrote Donald.
“I know I am going to miss our cherished fans. I have nothing to say than to ask for God’s blessings for everyone for the support throughout my stay with Kotoko. I came as a boy, leaving as a man and forever as a supporter of Kotoko.
“Long live His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, long live Kotoko, and long live Asanteman. Thank you,” the young goalkeeper concluded.
He thanked the club patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for the opportunity to represent Asante Kotoko.
Ibrahim Danlad, 21, has been with Asante Kotoko since 2016. He joined the Oseikrom-based club from Hamburg FC Sunyani.
He has had two loan spells with Berekum Chelsea and King Faisal in his seven-year spell with the Porcupine Warriors.
