Heart of Lions’ head coach Bashir Hayford has promised the league to go down to the wire before we can get the winner.
No one will argue with the veteran head coach’s comments because the performances of all the competing teams show that nothing is seperating them soon.
After week 25, the Porcupine Warriors are just a point ahead of the second placed Nations FC. Kotoko is two points ahead of third place Bibiani Gold Stars and are five points ahead of Medeama and Heart of Lions in fourth and fifth places respectively.
The competetion is so keen to the extent that whoever drops a point in the 9 matches left will be in trouble.
Asante Kotoko’s goalkeeper Frederick Asare believes his team will win the league if they can win all their remaining matches.
“If we really want to win the league, then we have to win all our remaining matches,” Asare said.
“For the game against Bechem United, we are really prepared; Mentally and physically, I think we are very prepared to win the game,” he said when speaking to Wontumi Radio.
Asante Kotoko on Sunday will welcome Bechem United to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The fixture is expected to be a fierce one due to how good both teams are.
Kotoko will visit Nations, Hearts of Oak and Bibiani Gold Stars in their remaining 9 games. These games will definitely determine Kotoko’s future in the league.
