Asante Kotoko won the Democracy Cup 2-1 against Accra Hearts of Oak helping them secure a ticket for a game against MLS side, DC United.
The game is scheduled to be played on 12th September 2024 in Washington DC at the Audi Field.
Asante Kotoko have applied for visa for 25 players for the USA trip. News emanating from the camp of Asante Kotoko is that only three players have been issued visa to travel to the USA.
It’s very devastating but the Porcupine Warriors’ hierarchy are fighting for all the players to get their visas approved.
Another source says that the game could be postponed for Asante Kotoko to sort out the visa issues.
A date has been given to the leaders to reapear at the embassy to sort things out.
