The incident happened on November 10, 2025, after a 20-year-old woman, Maame Adwoa, allegedly stabbed to death an 18-year-old girl, Maame Akua, in a fight at Ahwerewam near Mankranso in the Ashanti Region.
Adwoa is said to have committed the act after Akua confronted her for insulting her mother.
Assemblyman of Ahwerewam revealed that Akua’s younger sibling had been attacked by Adwo, forcing the mother to seek the reason why the child was assaulted.
Adwoa slapped Akua during the altercation and further reached out for scissors from her bag to stab the deceased in her neck, leading to her death.
The suspect has since been arrested while the deceased has been deposited at Bechem Hospital.
Investigations are underway by the Ghana Police Service to find out the circumstances surrounding the incident.
