A helicopter caught fire and burned beyond recognition after it crashed into a tree in Adansi Brofoyedu, located in the Ashanti Region.

This tragic event took place on the morning of Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

The helicopter usually operates on the Accra–Obuasi route every Wednesday, but it went down for reasons that are still unclear.

Early reports indicate that there might have been four people aboard, as some body parts were found at the crash site.

Their identities have not yet been confirmed.

Eyewitness accounts;

The Assembly Member for Burofoyeduru, Matthew Baah, narrated the incident during an interview on Adom FM’s Kasiebo Is Tasty.

“I was working on my farm when I received a distress call.

“After the crash, everything went silent.

Residents who rushed to the scene found the helicopter in flames,” he revealed.

While investigators are looking into what caused the crash, Mr. Baah mentioned that bad weather could have played a part.
