Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Ogum, expressed his determination to find a solution to his team’s poor run of form following their fourth successive defeat in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

The latest setback came in a 2-0 loss to regional rivals Nations FC at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

Nations FC secured the victory with goals from Nafiu Sulemana and Faisal Charwetey, further compounding the pressure on the Porcupine Warriors and their under-fire coach.

The defeat was met with frustration from the Kotoko faithful, known for their high expectations of a club synonymous with success.

Despite the disappointment, Ogum remained resolute, acknowledging the discontent of the supporters but emphasizing his commitment to reversing the club’s fortunes.

“I will turn things around. The supporters are not happy, and I’m not happy. This is the time to fix things, and so the supporters should have a little patience.

Kotoko is known for winning games, so obviously, everyone wouldn’t be happy after losing four games in a row,” Ogum said.

The latest defeat leaves Asante Kotoko in 8th place on the league table with 15 points, a stark contrast to the club’s ambitions and historical stature.

As the team looks ahead, Ogum and his squad face the pressing challenge of reigniting their season and regaining the confidence of their supporters.
