Benjamin Asare has truly solidified his status as Ghana’s number-one goalkeeper after showcasing his skills with an impressive clean sheet in recent matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

He was able to bench the always-present Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Joe Wollacot. His meteoric rise to the number one position is astonishing after being through a series of rough moments in his career.

The 32-year-old Phobia goalkeeper after returning from the Black Stars duty, has donated an undisclosed amount of dough to the entire group of Accra Hearts of Oak now teams – the Royal Oaks (Hearts u-17), Auroras FC (Hearts u-20), the aks Fc (Hearts female team) and the senior male team, Accra Hearts of Oak.

Asare did not leave out the other workers of Accra Hearts of Oak as he has donated some cash to the ball boys, drivers and others who support the team with other services.

This is to thank the entire team for the support they have given him up to this stage.
