Ghanaian football sensation Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah has officially joined Nottingham Forest Women on a two-year deal, marking a significant milestone in her career.
The 29-year-old forward’s move comes after a stellar performance at the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco, where she helped the National Women’s Football Team secure a bronze medal.
Journey
Boye-Hlorkah’s football journey began at Everton’s Centre of Excellence, where she made her Women’s Super League debut in 2013.
She spent eight years with the Toffees before moving to Aston Villa in 2021, where she stayed for two seasons.
In 2023, she joined London City Lionesses, playing a pivotal role in their promotion campaign and scoring six crucial goals, including a decisive header in the title-clinching win over Birmingham City.
Expressing her excitement about joining Nottingham Forest Women, Boye-Hlorkah said, “I’m excited to join the Club and play with this group of players. The team had an incredible season last year – history is being created here, and I’m grateful that I can be a part of continuing to build something special at the Club.”
Nottingham Forest’s head coach, Carly Davies, praised Boye-Hlorkah’s addition, stating, “Chaney is a player with proven quality at the highest level… Her ability to influence games, both with and without the ball, will be a huge asset as we continue to push for success”.

Boye-Hlorkah’s impressive performance at the 2024 Women’s AFCON has not only earned her a spot in Nottingham Forest Women but also showcased the growing talent in women’s football.
The Black Queens’ bronze medal finish marked the country’s best performance at the continental championship since 2016.
