Multiple reports emanating from the Ghana Football Association headquarters say that Portuguese head coach Carlos Queiroz will announce his final

Multiple reports emanating from the Ghana Football Association headquarters say that Portuguese head coach Carlos Queiroz will announce his final 26-man squad on June 2nd, soon after the Wales friendly match.
Carlos Queiroz, 73, was appointed as the new head coach of Ghana after Black Stars lost four consecutive international friendlies against South Korea, Japan, Austria and Germany since leading the team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
The veteran tactician has yet to meet his squad or test them in any capacity since his appointment. Still, he will do so when Ghana faces Mexico in Puebla at Estadio Cuauhtémoc on Saturday, 23rd May.
Some Ghanaians have been requesting that the squad be released, especially when they heard nations like France, Brazil, Croatia, Sweden, Senegal, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, and Switzerland, among many others.
The decision to announce the squad on June 2nd is a bit shocking considering that the tournament kicks off on 11th June, even though that day is the deadline for squad submission to FIFA.
Ghana will play against Wales in the final preparation game before commencing the World Cup campaign against Panama, then meet England and end the group stage against Croatia.
