“It’s spiritual, it’s so clear. It could be possible that our sadness is affecting the Black Stars,” Polo said.

Ghana took a commanding lead in the penalty shootout against Ivory Coast in the 2015 AFCON finals but eventually lost. Ivory Coast lifted the trophy much to the disapointment of every Ghanaian.

When Polo was asked about how Ghana lost that AFCON, he revealed that Ghana’s problem could probably be spiritual.

Many still don’t understand why Ghana lost that trophy to Ivory Coast after taking an unassailable lead.

Spiritually, Ghanaians believe that something is wrong with the senior national team after losing so many finals since winning the 1982 AFCON in Libya.

Mohamed Polo, the Dribbling Magician on AP Sports disclosed that Black Stars’ problems could be spiritual because the old players are extremely sad with the nation for failing to honor her promise.

“We were promised Estate Houses after winning the 1978 AFCON but the nation is yet to honor that promise,” Polo added.

This is the umpteenth time Polo is reminding the nation to honor the promise. Most of the players that won Ghana’s third AFCON have expressed their disapointment on several occasions.

Mohammed Polo is one of the best players Ghana has ever produced. The former Accra Hearts of Oak winger still remains a huge figure in Ghana’s football.
