Group A

MC Alger will welcome TP Mazemebe on Friday night to Algiers in a must-win match for both sides. Group A has just one slot left to fight for as Al-Hilal Omdurman has already secured a place in the quarter-finals with two games to spare. The Algerians sit second on the log with a point over third place Young Africans travel to Mauritania to face Al-Hilal. TP Mazembe must avoid defeat at all costs to stand any chance of progress. A win for the Algerians can qualify them to the knockout phase depending on what will happen in Nouakchott.

Fixtures

MC Alger v TP Mazembe, (Friday 7 pm)

Al-Hilal v Young Africans, (Sunday 7 pm)

Group B

The group is wide open to all four teams with Maniema having the slimmest chance to progress. The Congolese side sits at the bottom of the log and must beat Mamelodi Sundowns to stand any chance of progress in Congo. Sundowns’ 1-0 defeat in Morocco in round 4 was a bad result as they now have to at least win four points to qualify.

The Moroccan derby will see FAR hosts Raja Casablanca who played so well when they defeated Sundowns last week. FAR has 8 points and is leading the group, they will need just a point to seal a place in the quarter-finals. A whole lot is at stake in this game with Raja needing a victory to stand any chance of progressing.

Fixtures

Maniema v Mamelodi Sundowns (Saturday 1 pm)

FAR Rabat v Raja Casablanca (Saturday 7 pm)

Group C

Orlando Pirates sits on top of the group and will qualify if they beat Algerian side CR Belouizdad in Johannesburg. The Algerians are coming into the game with much confidence after ending Al Ahly’s 23-unbeaten game unbeaten run. A defeat will almost eliminate them if Al Ahly in Ivory Coast against Stade d’Abidjan can win.

Fixtures!

Orlando Pirates v Belouizdad (Sunday 1pm)

Stade d’Abidjan v Al Ahly (Saturday 4pm)

Group D

Only two points separate the top three in Group D. Esperance and Pyramids each has 7 points while Angolan side Sagrada has 5. Sagrada’s home game against Pyramids from Egypt is a must-win for the minnows. A victory will help them leapfrog the Egyptians. Djoliba has the opportunity to record a first victory in the group when they host Esperance in Bamako. Esperance will seek victory after the 2-1 defeat in Ciro on matchday 4 to boost their chances of progressing.

Fixtures!

Djoliba v Esperance (4 pm)

Sagrada v Pyramids (4 pm)
