At the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Nsoatreman smashed Chadian side Elect Sport 3-0 to record a first ever win in inter-club competition on the continent.

Yaw Preko’s side was very fantastic in the first half after struggling earlier on to convert their chances.

The deadlock was broken in the 30th minute with Mohammed Abdul Rahaman scoring to put the home team ahead.

Kwabena Meider doubled Nsoatreman’s lead four minutes later. Mohammed Abdul Rahaman made it 3-0 in the 36th minute. In a space of 6 minutes, Elect Sport was destroyed by the Nsoatre-based club.

The game was all over for Elect Sport as people started asking how many the Ghanaians were going to score. The first half ended 3-0 with Nsoatreman the much happier side.

Things got much worst for the away side as Bechir in the 54th minute received a red card.

The Chadians managed to prevent Nsoatreman from scoring again even with 10 men. The Ghanaians got a bit disappointed for not scoring again.

The second leg will take place in Cameroon as there’s no CAF approved venue in Chad.

Nsoatreman is on the brink of qualifying to the next stage of the competition.
