The 2024 Copa America in the USA is in full swing with the host USA beating Bolivia 2-0 in Arlington in TX at the AT&T Stadium. AC Milan star forward, Christian Pulisic, scored in the 4th minute to put the USA ahead. Folarin Balogun doubled the American’s lead after Pulisic assisted him before halftime. The USA won 2-0 to open their campaign.

Marcelo Bielsa’s Uruguay beat Panama 3-1 with Maximiliano Araujo, Drawin Nunez and Matia Vina all scoring for the favourites. Marseille’s Michael Murilo scored the consolation for Panama.

Monterrey defender Gerardo Arteaga’s second-half strike was enough for Mexico to beat Jamaica 1-0.

Ecuador was beaten by Venezuela 2-1 in Group B. Enner Valencia was sent off after kicking his opponent in the chest in the 22nd minute. 10-man Ecuador took the lead in the 40th minute through Jeremy Sarmiento of Brighton. As expected, Venezuela came into the game strongly in the second half with a man’s advantage. Jhonder Cadiz and Eduardo Bello scored in the 64th and 74th minute respectively to record an important win for Venezuela.

Aged Peru and Chile drew goalless at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Chile was the best team on the night but couldn’t find the back of the net after creating and squandering many chances.
