Mahamudu Bawumia on Sunday visited the home of the late Highlife singer, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, a.k.a Daddy Lumba with some NPP members.

The former vice president commiserated with Lumba’s family and supported the idea of a state burial for the great man.

Dr Bawumia wrote on his Facebook wall:

“Together with some officials of the NPP, MPs and friends, I visited the residence of the late music legend, Daddy Lumba, to commiserate with his family and also sign the book of condolence.

“Lumba’s contributions to the nation through his deep and timeless songs are immense, and in recognition of his great service to the nation, I appealed for the state to honour him with a state funeral.

“May his soul rest in peace.
